Djokovic vs. Murray -1.5 (games) - Preview
|
First seed and world no. 1 Novak Djokovic will have difficult mission in the semifinal at Rod
Laver Arena against world no. 4 Andy Murray. I think the British player would stand a good opportunity to win and take the revenge after last year he lost the final. Nole accused some medical problems at leg thigh in the quarterfinal against David Ferrer but the Spaniard failed to gain advantage over the Serbian weaknesses. Murray is probably playing his best tennis in his entire career and apart from his giant talent, now he has more serenity and he is very well prepaired on the mental aspects of the game, since he hired former legend Ivan Lendl to advice him. Andy is 11-0 this year on hardcourts and he lost 3 sets in this period of time. He had short matches from the second round and won in style against poor opponents many under 8.5 games/set were recorded as he made many good returns and more than one break/set. Djokovic has weaker and slower serve, also has big pressure on his shoulders as he has to defend many ATP points to keep his reigning position on the tour. Murray trails series 4-6 but won last match in Cincinnati and has same record on fast surfaces 4-4. This will be the second best of five sets match after last year\'s final in Melbourne and Murray has the potential to raise his level, he could cover the handicap in bizare fashion if he will win some clear and short sets and lost in 5 sets, but I am confident that he can produce a nice surprise to set the Grand Slam final against Rafael Nadal.
