After 4 wins in a row Venlo are on dismal run of 5 straight loses. They are now 6 points adrift of safety (instead of playing playoffs for staying up) with 5 matches to go. It will be hard to achieve wins as they will face Ajax, Twente and AZ in their upcoming matches, but it is not over until it is over. After good unbeaten run at home stretching back to 7 games Utrecht are safe , they can’t reach top playoffs or get involved in relegation ones. As history shows Utrecht always have problems with Venlo playing at home – just one win in 4 played (and even that one was after losing 1-2 in 72”). All in all Venlo are not without chances here vs opponent they were always competitive against and who play for nothing actually.
