| Dordrecht is in really bad weather. On Friday they were unable to trouble MVV, and with 1-0 at
fulltime Dordrecht had their third winless game in a row. Of course they had some injury problems in
front of the MVV-game, but Dordrecht lost the game because of the attitude they played with.
Whereas MVV fought from the first second on for a good result after a horrible period, there was
Dordrecht playing with less passion. They tried to compensate that with some horrible tackles, and it
was pretty miraculous only one player was sent off during the game. Things just don’t fit these days
at Dordrecht. They played their best phase of the game with a man down, but real belief in a good
ending fails. Dordrecht still is ranked pretty high, but it’s gonna be crucial to hang on these weeks to
secure playoff-qualification at the end of the season.
For Eindhoven there’s just one thing that counts here: to win the game, and hope for a mistake at De
Graafschap. Eindhoven had a bye last weekend because of the Haarlem-debacle, and for that reason
they missed a good opportunity to do some nice business for the third period title. They’re still topping
the table with an excellent 5-0-1 record and are three points ahead of De Graafschap, RBC and
Zwolle, but the league leaders played one game less. As the period is over 9 matches Eindhoven must
keep winning their own games, and things look quite good for them. Normally this match at Dordrecht
would be a serious problem, but Dordrecht struggles a lot while Eindhoven really convinces last few
weeks. Last week they beat for example Cambuur in a convincing game 3-1, and I’m pretty sure
Eindhoven will be focussed from the first second on for three points.
Dordrecht is skyhigh favourite for the bookies, and the -1 handicap is simply ridiculous. I see no
reason why Dordrecht should have an easy night here; Eindhoven is on steam, they really need three
points if they wanna keep their chances on the period title alive, and +1 is a gift. Pretty high stakes
for me.
Dordrecht has Delanoy, Versluis and some longterms out, Eindhoven didn’t report any missings. |
