Wacker Innsbruck vs. Ried - Preview

Author picks 10 units.

Match start at 18:00 hour.

TIP: 1 - CONGRATULATION
Last call for Wacker Innsbruck. Nothing else than a win is needed in this match against Ried to keep their few chances to stay in the 1. Bundesliga for the next season alive. Their rival Austria Kärnten tied against Altach on Friday and so now the gap has become of 6 points with only 3 rounds left besides this match of course.

Wacker Innsbruck are going to this big match with some important missings. They will miss the 28 y.o. central defender  Ferdinand Feldhofer (18/1), and the 20 y.o. central defender Michael Madl (19/2 and 5/0 in Erste Liga with FK Austria Wien II and 6/1 with Austria U21), both suspended after they got their 5th yellow card of the season on last round, and the long term injured the 31 y.o. defensive midfielder Theo Grüner (5/0), out since September, the 21 y.o. central midfielder Markus Seelaus (13/0 and 3/0 with Austria U20), who has a thig injury, and the 23 y.o. right midfielder Andreas Hölzl (25/3), who has got a knee injury.
Feldhofer, Madl and Hölzl are 3 regulars and so a huge blow for home team.
Another big news is the idea that coach  Helmut Kraft could field a very offensive lineup for this last chance. The regular only striker Peter Orosz, in very bad form in the last period, should go to the bench, and the midfielder Vaclav Kolousek should paly in up front together with the 23 y.o. Nigerian forward Olushola Olumuyiwa "Shola" Aganun (20/1) and the 20 y.o. forward Besian Idrizaj (1/0 and 7/0 with Crystal Palace in English League Championship and 12/3 with Austria U21), sho recovered from his problems and will be finally available to help his team in the relegation battle.

Ried will miss 4 players that are the 28 y.o. defensive midfielder Bozo Kovacevic (8/0), and the 34 y.o. Ried's captain, playmaker and topscorer Herwig Drechsel (28/9), both suspended for this round after they got their fifth booking of the season, and the injured players that are the 21 y.o. left back from Gambia Pa Saikou Kujabi (22/1), and the 32 y.o. right back Ewald Brenner (32/1).

Expected lineups:

FC Wacker Innsbruck: 19 Zeljko Pavlovic - 7 Dennis Mimm, 28 Torsten Knabel, 14 Andreas Schrott, 17 Bernd Windisch - 27 Mattias Lindström, 5 Matthias Hattenberger (cap.), 10 Florian Mader - 30 Olushola Olumuyiwa "Shola" Aganun, 8 Vaclav Kolousek, 23 Besian Idrizaj

available: 1 Pascal Grünwald (20 Fabian Schumacher) - 18 Sandro Samwald, 4 Alfred Arthur, 24 Martin Dollinger - 13 Marcel Schreter - 9 Peter Orosz, 21 Emmanuel Clottey

SV Josko Fenster Ried: 1 Hans-Peter Berger - 17 Ernst Dospel, 2 Christoph Jank, 5 Oliver Glasner, 6 Tomasz Rzasa - 28 Jürgen Gerhard Pichorner, 19 Peter Hackmair, 10 Sebastian Martinez, 13 Harun Erbek - 15 Muhammet Hanifi Akagündüz, 14 Hamdi Salihi

available: 24 Thomas Gebauer (31 Hubert Auer) - 20 Anel Hadzic - 8 Daniel Toth, 22 Mario Illibauer - 11 Rade Djokic, 9 Manuel Schmidl

Referee: Hofmann

In the previous matches in this Championship Ried won their only away match of the season with 1-0 at Innsbruck early in the  summer 2007 and then at Ried there were two scoreless draws.

Not too much to add here because it's really evident which is the team that need to win here and the team that is playing for nothing in these last matches. Ried are playing an awful football in the last matches with no motivation and away they are the worst team of the league. Kovacevic, Kujabi, Brenner and above all Drechsler are a big blow for Ried and even if Wacker are missing two regular defender like Feldhofer and Madl and their right midfielder, Hoelzl, the new offensive lineup tha Kraft will try will find the Ried net in a way or in another I think. Tivoli will be full and the fans will do their job in the best way possible. Nothing else than an home win can be expected here.
