Tommy Robredo vs. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga - Preview

Tsonga the 23 years old french is meeting Robredo the 26 years old spaniard.

Tsonga is a big talent, he reached to the finals of Aus open this year where he lost to Djokovic but not before beating Nadal in the semis. Tsonga is now ranked 19th on the world and 58th on hard courts and he is going to improve that ranking in the next tournaments including this one into much better rank.

Robredo is more of a clay player, he is playing from the baseline and this court doesn't fully suit him. He is ranked at the 15th place on the tour and 14 on hard courts, he is a very good player but it's not one of his best years so far, but he managed to get until this stage in Us Open and it's really nice.

Tsonga beat Moya and Ventura so far and Robredo beat Safin and Zverev.

Both players didn't play eachother yet, but I believe that Tsonga has the upper hand here, he is a better player and he comes hungry to this match and he wants to keep proving his talent and try and get further as he can in this tournament and try even to win it like he almost did in Aus Open.
