| Final phase of London Finals is about to begin and in first clash we will see King Roger against Davydenko, who was lucky to qualify beating just few hours ago Soderling in 3 sets. Davydenko was really lucky he chop off this tie-break in first set, Soderling had him on knife's edge and kind of let it go or wasn't really playing at maximum level in third set, I was thinking about 2:1 Kolya scenario but unfortunately I had more hope in Swedish player. Anyway Davydenko did pretty good, but now it's gonna be hard as hell, and he know it, and h2h 12-0 for Federer shows it. They didn't play against each other for a while but still Davydenko after three really hard matches should be tired and after all he was complaining about left leg and breathing, although with Soderling he seemed fine. Roger also played three hard matches, winning against Murray, Verdasco in three sets and losing to Del Potro in three in last match, when he had semi's in his pocket and knew Del Potro win will take out Murray from competition. I'm not insinuating anything. Federer plays all right, medicore ultimate champion level, he can play crap and still it's a bit of a challenge to beat him and in my opinion Davydenko won't be able to do so. Roger can show everyone who's the boss taking Finals crown once again. And I know he can pull up his game level and Davydenko might be too tired and scared of enounter with Roger, but if Murray did it, Verdasco did it and Del Potro beat Roger, why Davydenko won't be able to bite a set from him. That's how I see it, pretty similar to a match against Murray, quite tight first 2 sets, where hopefully Davydenko will got fuel to bite one and domination in third one by Swiss. Roger have mental advantage and had a good rest in spite of Davydenko who is playing Roger not even 18 hours after his pretty hard match with Soderling. If Roger won't have a foolish day or opposite crush Russian like he did in a past, I expect hard battle which will go into three sets and Federer's freshness and better pressure handling skills will take him into a final. | |
