Sporting Gijon vs. Malaga - Preview

Quite an unbalanced game will take place today in Primera, between two teams in different moods. The hosts from Gijon are in terrible form, losing 4 of their last 5 games and sitting just 4 points above the last position. They were terrible this season, being also the worst home team in the league.

On the other hand, Malaga strengthened a lot during the summer and, even the Arabs’ hopes might have been higher, they are doing way much better than last season, sitting on the 7^th position at the moment. Even if they have the 3^rd budget from Spain, there is still a lot of work to do there but Pellegrini looks like the right man for this task. They will be without Joaquin and Baptista from the big names but they have adequate cover for them.

Even if Malaga wasn’t a force on the road this season, I believe this is a moment they must take full profit from. Sporting is in a terrible position and it will be up to Malaga’s players to raise to the challenge and get all the 3 points. Considering they are priced at quite high odds, it worth the risk of backing them.
