Augsburg vs. Borussia Moenchengladbach - Preview

After being close to relegation last season, Gladbach became a title contender this season, and all the gratitude must go to their coach Favre. They’ve had a funny defense and that was the first thing he fixed, while building upon a steady defense was easy after. Now, they are one point behind leaders Bayern and with a win today, they could sit on the first place at least until tomorrow. They will have to do without Marco Reus today, Joshua King being also out. Nordveit and Zimmerman are both doubts but they hope to recover them in time.

Augsburg are the bottom team from Bundesliga but it was expected for them to have a tough time this season. They don’t have too much quality in their squad but they’ve managed some good performances lately, against Bayern, Stuttgart or Wolfsburg. Still, something is missing there and they find it difficult to gather points.

Gladbach will surely know how to deal with Augsburg today. The away games suit them well since they rely a lot on counters and I believe they will have plenty of chances to score today. Even without Reus, they are clear favorite today and, if they will keep showing the maturity from last rounds, they can’t fail to win all the 3 points.
