Villareal vs. Napoli - Preview

Napoli has it all in their hands when it comes to qualifying from the group. In order not to depend on the result from Manchester, they need a win today and the deal will be sealed.

Truth be told, the Italians made a nice figure on the road but still, home turf is where they are stronger. They are coming after a cracking game against City and, if they could repeat that performance, it will be hard for many teams to overcome them. They have almost  a full squad, mazzari resting some regulars against Bari in Serie A, only Britos and Donadel being injured.

Villareal is playing for nothing since last round, them not having chances even for the 3^rd position since then. They didn’t manage to gather a point this year and they are in a visible downtrend compared to the previous seasons. It’s true they’ve had many injury problems, which also cause them a bad Primera season so far but the injured players are coming back to contention one by one. Nilmar recovered but it’s hard to believe he will be used today, since they have a tough game against Sociedad in the weekend. Rossi, Zapata, Camunas and Catala are still injured and it is expected that coach Garrido will rest some other players.

Motivation and quality are with Napoli today and, as seen yesterday too, I can’t see a reason why the hosts will try to create them any problems, since they have more important concerns to focus on.
