Ajax needs only a point tomorrow in order to qualify, without having to depend on the result from Zagreb. Even a narrow lose could suit them but only if Lyon won’t win by 7 goals, which will be quite a science fiction scenario.
Real are already qualified and they are in front of their most important game of the year, the classic against Barca on the weekend. It is expected that Mourinho will make a heavy rotation in the squad, resting most of the regulars who will be on the pitch against Barca. Even so, they could field a powerful first 11 with the likes of Arbeloa, Albiol, Coentrao, Kaka, Sahin or Callejon among the regulars.
From my point of view, even Real’s ‘reserves’ are better than Ajax’s first eleven and this will be seen tomorrow on the pitch. Real surely will respect themselves and going 6/6 in the group is surely one of Mourinho’s goals. Away win at some juicy odds is my call.
