Interesting match today with the Penguins heading to Prudential Center to take on the New Jersey Devils for the 4th time this season after winning just 1 of the first 3. Like I said before New Jersey (29-19-3) aren`t the same as last seson, actually they are not even close to bottom, ranking 6th in the East with a decent 61 points after 51 games, coming after their 3rd win in a row, on road against the Flyers, 6-4. Zajac and Tallinder will be out for the Devils in this one, while Carter (missed 1), Larsson (missed 1) and Henrique (missed last 3) are doubtfull. On the other side Pittsburgh (30-18-4), 5th in the East are rounding up wins even though they are without some key players, last time in Boston they beat the Bruins 2-1 for the 9th win of the Pens of their last 10 games. Petersen, Despres, Crosby, Staal and Asham will miss this one for Pittsburgh. No surprise for me in some way that Pittsburgh beat the Bruins because some team tend to just have bad results against certain opponents, for example the same Boston (who the Pens beat 6 times in their last 9 encounters) has lost all 4 meetings against Carolina this season, a team who is not that feared laying 14th out of 15 in the Eastern Conference. What I going to count so is that the Devils will have most of their good players on the ice and have beaten the Pens in the last 2 straight meetings with the same score of 3-1 (on road and at home) and it wouldn`t surprise me if they would win this as well. Win New Jersey Devils is my pick for this one. Home win @ 2.75 Stake: 4/4 | There are no comments yet! Sign up to add your thoughts. | |
